We will talk on the phone to learn about your project, budget, and timeline. After this, our field Senior Designer will visit your property to talk more about ideas, process, and approximate costs.
We will create a Work Agreement with cost, deliverables, and timeline. You will review it, and sign it. Following this step, your initial payment will be due.
Site Visit & Preliminary Design
Once the initial payment has been received, our field Senior Designer will visit your property to take measurements and pictures. With this we will create a preliminary design for you to review and approve
After you approve the preliminary design, we will finalize the floor plan and create the Sheet Set that will be submitted to the pertaining jurisdiction for permit approval.
We will submit plans to the pertaining jurisdiction, and work with you through the permit process. You will pay any city/county invoices and any remaining fees at this point.
We will deliver you the approved plans and collect the final payment. Now your ADU is ready to be built!
If you’re interested, we can connect you with one of our trusted contractors. They will use our plans to construct your ADU and get it ready for use as quickly as possible.
From Start to Finish, the whole process takes anywhere from 6 to 12 months, depending on the City/County.
