Detached ADU Conversion

Project Description

The client presented us with a clear challenge: make the most of a limited space while keeping the ADU under 500 square feet to avoid incurring school fees. Despite the compact footprint and unique site conditions, we delivered a practical and efficient design.

 

The location required a sump pump due to being below the drain line, adding a technical challenge to the project. The client requested at least one bedroom, and with the available space, this layout was maximized to meet their needs while adhering to the size constraint.

 

The result is a thoughtfully designed ADU that optimizes every square foot, providing comfortable living space while addressing the client’s specific requirements and site challenges.
